Evening Calm

Or was it morning calm? It was difficult to tell some days as the nights grew lighter and our attempts to land met with greater or less success. We often landed in the early hours, a few hours sleep then rose slowly and stiffly under the baking sun. Packing took an age, 3 to 4 hours which we never seemed able to improve upon.
