At 2.30 am after 4 and a half hours of swamp, shallow rocky waters and 2 unlandable bird sanctuaries, a concrete jetty looks very appealing. Fortunately there wasn't a strong wind in the early hours or we would have been blown half way to Oz. The Falsterbo Kanal is a passage on the southwestern tip that has a sluice that opens on the hour every hour, even for little red boats.
