[my.eyes,your.land]

On a calm, sweltering day, we took on the first of two long crossings: 20km of open sea into a hazy white plane that seemed to have no transition between sea and sky. No land, no sound apart form the light splash of the paddle, surrounded by a still formless world.

So it continued for nearly 2 hours before land came into view, then the painfully slow sharpening of detail, widening of the thin strip of darker blue until our destination loomed before us, the dramatic cliffs of Hovs Hallar.
