beyond the edge of your envelope. At this stage, our envelope wasn't so big but the seas were, the swell building from a westerly wind across the Skagerak. What looked on the map to be an easy left turn around a little headland turned into 3 hours of battling headlong into big seas and strong winds. Perversely, the opening to the bay that seemed so big on the map was suddenly reduced to a narrow boiling passage between rows of treacherous rocks and crashing surf. Nothing can describe the feeling of being propelled into the sheltered bay knowing that food and rest were not far away.
