Spoils

The remains of humankind and it's labours range from the obvious: villages, houses, harbours, roads and tracks, to the concealed: jetties long disused, their iron mooring rings rusting spreading dark stains across the granite; quarry workings grown over and flooded, stacks of chiselled and blasted stones like artificial scree slopes. Raw traces of long forgotten toils.
