And On The First Day...

We arrived at Svinesund excited and with no small measure of disbelief that our day of departure had finally arrived. Standing on the bridge looking out along the fjord, I noticed another paddler setting off before us. Later found out it was Leif Andersson, a 64 year old adventurer who went on to paddle the coast in 44 days - for the third time!

So much goes through your mind when the prospect of being out for 60 days looms - have we brought everything? Have we brought too much? We would soon find out!
